Here You Learn to Paint for the Pleasure of Painting.

For years I owned an artist’s supplies shop and for years I was amazed by the number of so called professional artists who could not paint yet they had a degree. Degrees are rubbish, they are there to try and make non talented people appear talented. (Please note, some people with degrees can paint)
You do not need a degree to learn to paint and enjoy yourself and sell your paintings.
I do not need a degree to show you how to enjoy yourself while painting pictures which others will buy.
So let us start enjoying our painting without all the degrees. SEE MY PAINTINGS
Anybody can join me here – no sign in no fee. If you are genuine about learning to paint I will help you on this website, just go to the CONTACT page to ask a question.
If you are already painting I am willing to help you where possible. – free-.
We paint wet on wet in oils or acrylics or any paint you may have available, paint on canvas or board the idea is to learn to paint pictures that sell.

So! Shall we Paint.

On the PaintWithLen website there are about 20 great free painting lessons with short video and text tutorials. the address is PAINTWITHLEN.COM but before you go there read my advice here.
I have watched the progress of many painters using my tutorials, they send me emails with images. Many students have trouble producing ‘sellable’ paintings because of one thing – contrast – they do not put the right amount of contrast in their paintings. – contrast is light and dark in this case.
Try to take advantage of my instructions.
1 Keep the bottom of your sky white.
2 Keep the top of your sky dark
3 Keep your bottom corners of your painting as dark as you can get them.
4 Make sure your brush is cleaned and loaded properly before you dab the foliage on the big (foreground) trees.
This foliage should be very dark with very bright tips and you cannot paint them with a dirty brush and dirty paint.
OK if you can get these little points, I think cleaning and loading the brush is the hardest to learn but also do keep your dark and light paint separated so they come off the brush dark and light not mixed into a middle tone.

There is no need to buy my DVDs, I am happy if you do but that is entirely up to you, if you would like and can’t afford them well let me know. This website is reserved for persons who want to learn to paint pictures that sell and those who need help learning.
There are people all over the world right now learning from my tutorials. Some will sell paintings, some will pass there time with great pleasure and some will come and go but here on this website I wish to teach with a no holds bared approach.
Here are some links to get you started, first read the PAINTING LESSONS TIPS and have a look at what I teach ABOUT LEN”S TEACHING

  stay tuned
